Immerse Yourself in Colour & Texture: When Art and Neurodiversity Collide

Tactile Exhibition in Sotogrande Marina: 1st - 22nd June 2024

Welcome to a celebration of colour, texture, and neurodiversity! I am thrilled to announce my upcoming solo art exhibition entitled TACTILE, set to grace the Sotogrande Gallery in Fresco Marina, South of Spain, starting from the first of June 2024. For three weeks, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of vibrant hues and captivating textures, as I unveil my newest and mostly unseen paintings, collages, works on paper and wall sculptures.

As an artist deeply connected to the nuances of colour and texture, this exhibition is a homage to all those who revel in the beauty of both. But it's also a special nod to my fellow neurodivergent individuals – those who perceive and experience the world in unique and extraordinary ways.

One of the distinctive features of this exhibition is the opportunity for you to engage with the artwork on a tactile level (hence the name of the exhibition). I understand the impulse to touch, to feel the contours and textures of a piece of art with your hands. However, in traditional gallery settings, this is often discouraged due to the potential damage it can cause. Oils from our skin, exposure to elements, and other factors can degrade the integrity of the artwork over time.

But here, I invite you to indulge your curiosity. You will be provided with a pair of white gloves, allowing you to examine the art up close, to feel the textures and experience the depth of each piece. It's a small gesture, perhaps, but one that speaks volumes about inclusivity and understanding.

My fascination with texture is evident throughout my work, and in this exhibition, I've pushed the boundaries even further. Bold sculptural movements leap from the canvas. It's an invitation to not just see, but to feel with multiple senses and to truly experience the art and our surroundings.

Colour, too, plays a central role in my artistic expression. Drawing from years of research into colour theory, psychology, and chromology, I've curated a palette designed to evoke joy and happiness. Each hue has been carefully selected for its ability to induce positive emotions, to uplift and inspire.

I invite you to join me on this artistic adventure, to experience the boundless possibilities of colour and texture, and to celebrate the richness of seeing and experiencing the world differently.

So mark your calendars and prepare to embark on a sensory adventure like no other. Whether you're a seasoned art enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of the world around you, there's something here for everyone.

See you at Sotogrande Marina, where art and neurodiversity collide in a beautiful symphony.
